Duplet Font Family by Indian Type Foundry was designed with versatility in mind and will continue to be seen everywhere – from headlines on news sites and apps, text in apps and logos rendered with either small or large geometric sans serifs rendered small and large geometric sans serifs are all over. Duplet Open can be mixed with its relatives from the Duplet superfamily: Duplet and Duplet Rounded. Each has seven weights from Thin through Extra Bold; plus accompanying italics; totaling over 450 glyphs covering all European languages written with Latin script.
Duplet Open fonts employ geometric forms; thus round characters and parts letters take on either circular forms or slanted circular forms (as seen in italics). Their letters feature low contrast with even thickness strokes for letters like “e” and “s” while those such as “a”, “e”, and “s”, have diagonal shears instead of horizontal ones making counters more flexible; making Duplet Open lighter and perhaps legible in small sizes or on screens than ITF’s Duplet family.
Duplet Open’s fonts come standard with single-storey letter ‘a’s, with their large round bowl geometry as its centerpiece! However, an OpenType alternative exists in double-storey letterform. Furthermore, its default character ‘g’ character also follows suit by having its lower stroke flattened for an appearance which is more compact and simple; three additional variants exist as additional characters within Duplet Open fonts as alternative characters for that glyph ‘g’ variants are provided as alternatives to this format in every font that comes standard within its font family – something single storey letters don’t do by default in any font family!
Diana Ovezea and Rafal Buchner designed this typeface with careful consideration given to every fine detail, offering alternate spellings for letters ‘u’, “k”, GK”, K”, and M”, and an ampersand (&). Their character sets feature case-sensitive forms as well as punctuation marks which have been vertically repositioned vertically reposition. Punctuation marks appear more pleasingly when displayed all-caps fonts; numerals include proportional as well as tabular lining figures along with fractions superior numbers and lowercase numbers – designed with great care by Diana Ovezea and Rafal Buchner who designed their typeface design!
